Why the Wonder Woman/Superman relationship exists solely for the benefit of Superman

buzbylives:

Superman is the constant outsider the lone Kryptonian masquerading as a human. Constantly trying to be human but never succeeding, yet he manages to be a better human than the rest of us.

And then there’s Wonder Woman the beautiful Amazonian warrior who doesn’t need anybody else to make her happy, she doesn’t need Steve Trevor or anyone else. Hell, she’s lived on Themyscira for hundred years without a romantic relationship(debatable).

Superman is shown that he wants to be human he wants all those things that humans are supposed to do, have a job, relationships and a family. Why does he spend his time being Clark Kent? In reality he could just not do anything live in his Fortress of Solitude or on the Kent farm and just go around saving people relaxing, but he puts up with paying bills, buying grocery, having a boss and going to work every day. Why, why does he do all of this? Because he needs to have that human connection because he will never be human, he just wants to be normal. Diana on the other hand is who is she is and doesn’t care to assimilate to man’s world nor does she wish to. She makes no effort to have a “secret identity” she is always a princess of Themyscira, she is always Diana.

Clark Kent and Lois lane have been married, now I don’t pretend to know anything about their comic relationship, but she is the iconic girlfriend of Superman, she just is, always portrayed in the Superman cartoons, TV shows, and films.

So why have Wonder Woman and Superman get together? Diana has shown that she doesn’t need or want a relationship, but Clark who puts up with being human I believe that he clearly wants all the things that most humans want a romantic relationship, a family.

Which leads back to the discussion if Superman can actually have sex with a human? Harking a memorable scene form the film Mallrats.

And even if he could, are Human and Kryptonian DNA compatible?

So in order for Superman to have sex or a family he needs to be with someone as strong as him and hell since Wonder Woman is there perfectly content being single, let have them get together.

I under stand that several other writers have written Superman And Wonder Woman together.

All-Star Batman And Robin #5

So there entire relationship is based on the fact that Superman needs to get laid. What does Diana get out of this? Diana doesn’t care about all that crap, she lived on Themyscira without any romantic relationships, but here comes lonely alien Superman and she just can’t help herself?

Justice League #12

I really feel like “they” are only doing this because they do not have a clue what to do with Superman and think he’s “boring”(I feel like Superman is an interesting character). It also explains why they haven’t been using Lois Lane at all. Because Lois Lane / Superman relationship is apparently too boring(I don’t feel that way at all), I assume that’s the same excuse they use to explain why we can’t have married Superheroes. Your Superheroes can’t be boring, be married or old and they also can’t have normal human girlfriends/boyfriends.

I’m just sad now, so that’s the end of this rant.

very good points. it is entirely for Superman. Diana don’t need no man.
